Journalism and Mass Communications are all-surrounding, both constituting and affecting how we navigate and make sense of the world, distribute information and shape our culture with their representations, stories, programmes, formats, exhibitions, repositories and data.
In affiliation with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, LLDIMS offers Bachelors degree in Journalism and Mass Communication – BA (JMC). At LLDIMS, the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication has led the way to journalism and mass communication’s future by providing firsthandexperience and intensive training to students.
The programme covers communication techniques and technologies shape who we are, how we govern ourselves and what kinds of cultures we inhabit. We embrace both media theory and media practices. Over the years, we’ve trained students who’ve reshaped their fields, some of the nation’s most high-impact journalists, and leading professionals in many other domains. The department trained students to position themselves more critically within it, preparing them for careers in the media, corporate, cultural institutions and in academia to name a few.
The department commands well established infrastructure such as Radio Labs, Television Studio, Editing Lab, Communication Lab, IT and creative hubs.The department has produced some of the well-known and hardworking anchors, independent film makers, actors, copy writers, producers, reporters, graphic artists, radio jockeys, event managers, advertising professionals and public relation officers in the topmost national and international organisations.
Today, the department remains strongly interdisciplinary. Its research faculty comes from a range of diverse streams, including Communication, Media, Public Relations, Corporate, International relations, Advertising, Television and Radio production. Its professional journalism faculties include prize-winning innovators in various domains.

Dr. Sheweta Gaur
Academic Qualification- PhD, M.Phil
Dr. Sheweta Gaur is a media professional turned into an academician and has over 12 years of teaching experience in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication. She is having experience in industries like AIR, Total TV, Bhavna TV and content writing on various online websites. Her fields of specialization are Public Relations, Radio and Event Management. She has paper publications in National and International Journals of repute to her credit. Besides this, she has presented research papers in National, International Seminars and Conferences.
Dr. Geeta Arora
Assistant Professor, Journalism and Mass Communication
She has been professionally employed for 10+ years during which time she has been working as Assistant Professor- Journalism and Mass Communication, she has been imparting education for various subjects in Journalism and Mass Communication, Event Coordinator, Guest Lecture Coordinator, Organizing Events for students advancements, to help students in developing better communication, facilitate the training to the students. She has extensive teaching experience in various subjects e.g. Print Journalism, Design and Graphics, Media Research, Public Relations, Media Laws &Ethics, Advertising practices, Project works, STR, FER etc. She has been working on research and writing for more than 3 years, now associated with LLDIMS, G.G.S. Indraprastha University as Assistant Professor.
Mrs. Akanksha Singh
Academic Qualification- BA(JMC), MJMC
I have 10 years’ experience in Media Institute & Television News Channel. I teach Television Programming & production( octopus, fork oyasis playout, magic soft, Airbox), Graphics Designing Software (Photoshop, coral draw, quark express), Video Editing (Adobe Premiere pro), Online graphics( Vizart, wasp 3d, Title box), Video switcher (Black Magic Atem, Tricaster), Hindi typing, Basic of the camera, Lights and sound, Radio production & Basic of new media. Currently, I am also F.P.C (Faculty Placement Coordinator). From 2019 till date I have done Placement & Internships of so many students in a different News channels, Digital channel and News Paper.
Dr. Gaurav Yadav

Assistant Professor, Journalism and Mass Communication
Dr. Gaurav Yadav holds a doctorate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with industry experience and 9 years of teaching experience. Over his teaching years, he has taught Research Methodology, Communication, Advertisement, TV Production, Design & Graphic and Photography at graduation and post-graduation level. His expertise and depth of learning on each of the subjects which he has taught, with his distinct style of teaching and imparting education.
He has attended and presented papers at many seminars and conferences both at International and National level. He has published four research papers in International Journals and ten research papers and articles in National and International Seminars/Conferences.
Dr. Yadav has authored two books and written three Chapters in different books on Journalism and Mass Communication. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor with Lingaya’s Lalita Devi Institute of Management and Sciences affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
