M. Com, MBA or Job: The Best Path for B. Com Graduates

A famous quote says, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” So while selecting the right career track, it is imperative to follow passion rather than a lucrative paycheck. One such career stream is B.Com which most of the commerce students opt for. After completing a 3 years graduation degree from a reputed college, a lot of questions wander in the minds of the students as to what next do they opt for. Some may be willing to go for higher studies while others will prefer a job. Although on the last day of the exam, students feel that they can now sleep for 10 hours, wake up at 11 am, watch movies or parties with friends, but in reality, they are bombarded with endless questions from parents, neighbors, and relatives about their future career plans. The foremost step for an MBA is to clear the CAT (Common Admission Test) exam, and the score obtained here determines the eligibility of the students in top MBA institutes.

So if any student plan on pursuing a government job they must apply for civil service exams like IES, IAS, IPS, SSC CGL, banking exams (IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SBI PO, RBI, etc.), or Railway RRB exams.

Ø Lecturer/Professor

One career course some B.Com students desire is to become a professor in any of the eminent colleges or institutions.  For this, any student can apply for M.Com and then sit for the National Eligibility Test. They can as well pursue a B.Ed. degree from any of the top B.Ed. colleges to enhance their eligibility. It is a stable job which offers good pay.
